| Located on Capitol Hill, 13th Avenue and 8th Avenue make up Cheesman Park’s north and south borders while Race and Franklin streets create its east and west confines. The actual park itself was a former city cemetery and features a Greek pavilion and spectacular mountain views. Designed as a tribute to a famous drive in Berlin, the 80-acre park is within close proximity to the state capitol building, the Denver Botanical Gardens, the Denver Art Museum, and much of the city’s music and arts scene. The park hosts free concerts during the spring and summer. |
